…And hello summer! The start of the summer holidays at JDR always coincides with our traditional Work Camp (this is already the 10th edition!). This year we are heading to from June 21st to 25th, 2026.
For five days, our youth information volunteers, together with youth workers, will carry out different volunteer service activities for the municipality. In the social area, we will visit the local nursing home to organize leisure and recreational activities with the residents. On the creative side, a mural painting project will be carried out in the town. And in the maintenance area, participants will help clean the riverside area and paint fences and urban furniture.
In the afternoons, the Youth Department of the has organized several leisure and environmental learning activities, including visits to the castle of and its wineries, an astronomy workshop, and interpretive hiking trails.
The work camp is based on the service-learning methodology, combining useful community activities with the development of social skills, teamwork, responsibility, and commitment to rural areas.
We would like to thank the Town Council of for its collaboration and support in providing logistics, infrastructure, and spaces for the activities.
