Caspe Hosts the Second Edition of the Gloria Villalba Awards

On April 21, 2026, the city of Caspe will host the award ceremony of the second edition of the Gloria Villalba Awards, a day dedicated to celebrating the talent, creativity, and commitment of young people to their local communities.

During this event, the 10 projects selected in this year’s call will be presented. These initiatives have been led by young people from the three provinces of Aragón. In total, more than 150 students from Borja, Jaca, Valderrobres, Utrillas, Andorra, Calamocha, and Caspe will take part in this day of gathering, learning, and exchange of ideas.

The projects have been developed with the support of secondary school teachers, to whom we would like to express our special thanks for their involvement. Their commitment has been essential in making these initiatives possible, believing in young people and daring to go beyond the academic curriculum to promote projects with a real impact on the territory. These are initiatives that connect with the community, seek to energize and revitalize their immediate surroundings, and demonstrate that education can also be a powerful tool for social transformation.

The day will begin in the morning at the Teatro Goya in Caspe, where the projects will be presented and the awards ceremony will take place. The event will bring together members of the educational community, rural development organizations, youth groups, media representatives, and public authorities.

In the afternoon, the program will continue with a more participatory proposal: activities and games organized by the Caspe Tourism Office to explore the historic center of the city, as well as workshops aimed at evaluating and sharing the learning process experienced through the Gloria Villalba Awards.

We would especially like to thank the Caspe City Council and the Aragon Open Government Laboratory (LAAAB) for their collaboration and for accompanying us in this journey, contributing to the development of this program.

The Gloria Villalba Awards  is a tool  to promote youth participation, encourage social innovation, and recognize the role of young people as drivers of change in rural areas.
