07 Mar “Culture on every Meal”. Intercultural project in Caspe
“Culture on every Meal”, is an initiative led by Colegio Santa Ana in Caspe as part of the Gloria Villalba Awards, which recognize projects with social and community impact.
The proposal starts from a simple yet powerful idea: to bring closer the different cultures coexisting in the town through gastronomy. To achieve this, the project plans to create an intercultural recipe book compiling traditional dishes from the various countries represented in the locality.
The goal is for the people of Caspe to learn about, prepare, and enjoy recipes from other cultures, fostering curiosity, respect, and community cohesion among neighbors. To make this easier, the project team will use YouTube tutorials to help participants learn how to cook each dish step by step.
In addition to producing the recipe book, the project includes several activities to bring it to life: designing and printing the book, preparing the recipes, and organizing a public event in the town, where the book will be presented and some of the dishes will be available for tasting.
The initiative is open to the entire community, inviting residents of all ages to take part in this cultural and gastronomic experience.
With projects like “Culture on every Male”, the Gloria Villalba Awards highlight ideas that strengthen community ties and cultural exchange, demonstrating that gastronomy can be a powerful tool to connect people.
