Rural young people in Aragon have tremendous potential to transform their surroundings thanks to their commitment, determination, and ability to generate innovative ideas. With the right support, these ideas not only become a reality but also create a positive impact in the region and serve as examples and inspiration for the entire community. Through the Gloria Villalba Awards, we aim to strengthen critical thinking, innovation, and community revitalization.

This initiative is aimed at secondary school students and, in addition to involving schools, includes classroom training, mentoring for all interested young people, and funding for the selected ideas.

Those of us who knew you don’t need any excuse to remember you. We find you in every step we take, in the projects we launch, in the activities we organize, on trips, in hostels, around a table, in laughter, and even in the moments that hurt. We try to embrace your freshness and simplicity, your ability to make the complicated seem easy, your ever-collaborative spirit. And often, we succeed. We follow your steps, your tracks, your path. Because in following, you remain here.

We know that the place you deserve isn’t in an activity bearing your name. The place you deserve is in the DNA of our network, in the enthusiasm for work well done with young people, in the villages, taking on new challenges, being together, and sharing.

But still, we want to do it. And that is why we want this Award to bear your name.
